Hi, long-time reader here. Through the Kursk section here I’ve noticed that almost all of the Tiger tanks shown have a sort of upside-down pi symbol to the left of the hull machine-gun. Is there any significance to this or a reference to anything at all?

Jerry, That was the mark of the 2nd SS “Das Reich” Panzer Division, and these new markings were first used at Kursk”. Thanks for the interest.
