I agree. I have read this entire comic, and Communism is presented in a very realistic light, which is decidedly less than favorable. This comic is a fictional STORY told with as much objectivity as I can imagine the author could maintain, from the viewpoint of a normal young woman in extraordinary circumstances. I detect no political agenda, and for that I am thankful. My grandparents emigrated from that part of the world shortly before the Revolution, and left many family behind, most of whom probably died under either the Nazis or Stalin. I’ve never been able to find any of them. I’d like to imagine that one of my relatives was like Katusha.
